We follow a rigorous research-driven process to identify all potentially relevant individuals in the market, then screen these carefully, through progressively more detailed investigations, for skills, experience, characteristics and fit to your organisation & role.

Our Process


Understanding the Assignment 

The key to a successful outcome is developing a full understanding of everything which may have a bearing on the role through detailed briefing(s). 

Our Proposal

Based on our briefing we produce a proposal confirming our understanding of your need and detailing our recommended search methodology, recruitment process, resources to be allocated, timeline and fees.

Assignment Specification 

On acceptance of our proposal, with your collaboration, we develop an assignment specification which reflects our understanding of the assignment and provides relevant information and insights to complement your position description. The Assignment Brief is shared with potential referrers and target candidates. 

Research & Networking

Based on the Assignment Brief, we will develop a Target Universe, a matrix of high-probability organisations and positions where we expect relevant individuals to be found. We complement this with discrete enquiries to our established networks to surface “off-grid” individuals. 

Screening 

We will connect directly with each individual identified to assess their suitability and interest in the opportunity, methodically screening out potential candidates based on review of their credentials, remote and in-person interviews and feedback from our networks against the Assignment Brief. 

Presentation of a Benchmark Candidate 

As early as possible in the process, we will share with you a candidate profile which we believe meets the Assignment Brief. This is not a Shortlisted candidate, but a benchmark 

for your comments to ensure we are on the right track and to allow refining / recalibration of the search to ensure an accurate shortlist. Often we will also share at this point our general experience of the search so far which may include market feedback, competitor insights, etc.

Presentation of the Shortlist 

When we are confident we have identified and screened all accessible potential candidates in the market, we will present to you a Shortlist of 3 to 5 candidates who represent the best candidates in the market who meet the Assignment Brief. 

Interview Process 

We will arrange interviews with Shortlisted candidates according to a process and timetable designed in collaboration with you. The interview process is the opportunity for both parties in the process, organisation and candidate, to assess fit.

 Psychological / Psychometric Assessment 

If required, we can arrange for candidates to undergo a wide variety of formal Assessment Tools. These are not included in our standard search process and may incur additional costs. 

Reference Checking 

Once you have chosen a preferred candidate, we will take up 3 references with credible individuals who can accurately report on an individual’s past performance and conduct. 

Negotiation of Offer

We will manage the offer process and intermediate between you and the candidate to ensure an optimal result. 

Candidate Management

We will treat all individuals engaged with professional respect. We will maintain close connection with candidates in the process and inform unsuccessful candidates at the earliest opportunity to ensure that each has the best possible experience of your brand throughout the Assignment. 

Transition 

We will coach your successful candidate through their resignation and on-boarding transition, providing liaison where needed with your own Human Resources department. Where possible we will maintain connection with the appointed individual over their first few months with your organisation to ensure a smooth integration.
